Ernie Els to be honored at MGWA national awards dinner
The Metropolitan Golf Writers Association announced that two-time US Open winner, Ernie Els, will receive this year’s Gold Tee Award. Els joins an elite group of individuals who have won the award in the past, including Bobby Jones, Ben Hogan, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Nancy Lopez, Annika Sorenstam, and Phil Mickelson. Els will receive the award at the 56th National Awards dinner which will be held on Monday June 18, 2007 at the Hilton Rye Town in Rye Brook, NY.
