This has been described as a "short but challenging" course which is most definitely true. The ninth hole is a bear and nothing less than a perfect shot will get you on top. The second hole is a dogleg right also up the same hill with a two tiered green. Another toughie. There are lots of woods on this course and lots of places to lose a ball. The 17th hole is also very challenging because, while not long, it does slope downhill from left to right and it is a tough to find a place to put your ball. This past summer the greens were in magnificent shape due to the dedication of one guy who walked around fixing them at the end of the day. Worth a stop off on your way out to Long Island for sure.

Played Kissena Last week and was very pleased with the course conditions. New management is doing a great job. Greens are the best in NYC. Definitely my favorite course in Queens. A little short but it's great to finish a round in under 4 hours.
