Description: Arguably the best driving range in Manhattan. This two tier lighted practice center located under the Tri-Borough bridge offers 80 hitting stalls, chipping green and two miniature golf courses. Nearly 700,000 visitors come to Randalls Island for sports, recreation and environmental education activities each year. Located on a 480 acre island just 300 yards from Manhattan, the park offers New York City Residents rare open green space with batting cages, miniature golf courses, a state-of-the-art driving range, along with soccer/football fields, tennis courts and baseball/softball fields. Randalls Island Golf Center offers a quality golf experience for the entire family just minutes away from Manhattan, Bronx, and Queens.
How To Get There: By car from Manhattan, Queens or the Bronx .Follow signs for the Triboro Bridge and then follow signs for Randalls Island. Once on the Randalls Island follow the signs for the golf range. You will pay a toll to get onto the island not off.
Shuttle Bus - Randalls Island runs a shuttle bus service from the Upper East side of Manhattan. For $10 this round trip daily service is a good way to get there. Find the shuttle at 3rd Avenue just North of 86th Street, in front of Modells Sporting Goods store. The van leaves Manhattan weekdays at 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8PM. Weekends it leaves Manhattan at 10AM, 11, 12, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5PM. Call Randalls Island for the schedule November through March (212) 427-5689
Mass Transit is not available. But you can get to Randalls Island by way of a foot bridge at 125th Street in Manhattan.
