Description: Very popular 18 hole par three golf course is located next to Shea Stadium and the United States Tennis Association Center. A great walking golf course. Can be played with just a wedge and a putter. Good course for beginners, seniors, and youngsters. Holes range from 40 to 80 yards and are illuminated for night play. You can tee off until 11 p.m.. For you night owls lights are turned off at 1 a.m.. The site also offers an 18 hole Miniature Golf Course.
Directions:
Car - Van Wyck Expressway to College Point Blvd. Make a right into the Park. Turn right and continue to the Pitch and Putt. Flushing Meadow Park is East of the United States Tennis Association Center. Closest parking is under the Van Wyck Expressway.
Mass Transit - : 7 to Willets Point Blvd - Shea Stadium, LIRR to Willets Point. Walk south to Park and continue to left to pitch and putt or by bus - Q48 to Roosevelt Ave and walk south into Park.

By: AsinghThis is a nice little course for beginners. The greens aren't the best, but it is a municipal course after all and the fees are less than $15. This is the place to get an idea of how the game is played. This should be the first course you go to after the driving range. |
